Problem definition

Europe is particularly prone to natural hazards and the evidence is now growing that damage will increase in the future. Unfortunately, while there is a plethora of climate adaptation innovations, many fail to make it to market.

Solution

BRIGAID’s approach aimed to promote the technical, social and market readiness of innovations simultaneously. This eases the development path, because technical, social and market requirements can be incorporated into the design, business model and market approach from the outset. BRIGAID also envisaged an end-user role that goes beyond the provision of basic information on their main requirements and evolves towards a more direct contribution to the development process of new products and solutions.

Thanks to the interest shown by the different actors, after the end of the project, the project partners decided to create the BRIGAID Connect Partnership where they give continuity to the work developed in BRIGAID through other European projects such as the one of ARSINOE .
