ICATALIST has developed thematic environmental workshops around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted in 2015 by the United Nations in New York.

These workshops are aimed at pupils aged between 11 and 16. They can and must be the main drivers and agents in ensuring that these goals are known and met, since by 2030, boys and girls will be between 23 and 28 years old.

The aim of all workshops is both thematic knowledge and learning based on “experiential” activities (knowledge) content: The project focuses on a General Workshop and a series of Workshops encompassing 1 or 2 SDGs per workshop.

Education based on competences and values: Promoting social, creative, emotional, technological, sporting, etc. values. For the students of El Cantizal.

Collaborative projects with a focus on the SDGs under the motto “Think Global, act local”.

Solution

The programme is based on small projects (“educational pills”), with varied and entertaining dynamics to motivate the children.

Some of the activities carried out:

  • Gymkhanas

  • Environmental board games

  • Food workshops

  • Forestry workshops
