Roadmap and monitoring of the transforming projects Sustainable Procurement and Sustainable Cohesion of the Territory Central of the Basque Country 2030 Environmental Framework Programme
The Transformative Project 1 «Central Purchasing Centre for Sustainable Products and Services» and the Transformer project 2 «Sustainable Cohesion of the Territory» are two of the eight transformative projects defined within the Basque Country’s 2030 Environmental Framework Programme, a programme designed in line with the evolution of European policy, giving continuity to the Basque Country’s extensive track record in responding to global and local environmental challenges.
The Basque Country Environmental Framework Programme 2030 (hereinafter, PMA), represents the roadmap for environmental policies in the Basque Country for the remainder of the decade, with a cross-cutting approach and covering a wide range of areas of socio-economic activity in the Basque Country.
In addition, the EMP is more applied than the previous programmes, as it does not focus on the definition of environmental objectives or the elaboration of strategic plans, but rather on the design and implementation of a set of Strategic Projects that address a series of Challenges. These Strategic Challenges, six in total, must be taken into account during the definition and implementation of the set of environmental planning and instruments as guidelines to be able to achieve the Euskadi 2030 vision.
