The current food model faces multiple social, environmental and economic challenges.
The objective of the roadmaps is to define a set of innovative and ambitious policies, with high transformative potential, but at the same time feasible and realistic, that will serve to respond to these challenges in the short, medium and long term.
ICATALIST is coordinating this project, which aims to generate 4 thematic roadmaps to facilitate systemic change in the food system.
The current food model faces multiple social, environmental and economic challenges, The aim of this paper is to provide a roadmap for an ambitious, but also realistic, transformation that will facilitate the implementation of public policies in the short, medium and long term.
ICATALIST is coordinating this project, which aims to generate 4 thematic roadmaps to facilitate systemic change in the food system. The four themes are: Agricultural Systems, Fisheries Systems, Value Chains and Right to Food. To this end, 23 experts in different domains will be involved in the project.
The objective of the roadmaps is to define a series of innovative and ambitious policies, with a high transformational potential, but at the same time viable and realistic, that serve to respond to the sustainability challenges of the Spanish food system. After its completion, it will contain recommendations of particular interest to policy makers who want to move towards a systemic transformation of the food system, based on scientific knowledge and past experiences.
