The aim of this project is to generate a document-guide that includes the main keys to the necessary agri-food transition in Spain. It starts from the need to transform the agri-food system from its current situation as one of the human activities with the greatest negative impact on ecosystems to being part of a holistic solution to the social and environmental challenges of this century.
Coordination of the creation and drafting process of the White Paper on Sustainable Food in Spain.
The book is of general interest to anyone concerned about food and sustainability in its triple aspect (social-human, environmental and economic), although its creation was conceived with policy makers in the various areas that affect food – from primary production and value chains to education and publicity – in mind, with the aim of supporting the definition of public policies that favour the improvement of food systems. The participation of an extensive network of researchers and experts with in-depth knowledge of the food sector has enabled a broad diagnosis of the current situation and the main problems to be solved, as well as the visualisation of desirable scenarios and the proposal of concrete measures.
